This is a great opportunity for the right person to take an important technical leadership role in a technical operations team, ensuring a well-designed, high performing, reliable service is available to support our customers and internal business needs. You will proactively enable the implementation of the Data and DevOps vision within Federal Reserve Financial Services. The Data Operations and DevOps Team Lead will take the lead to coordinate, build, and implement high-performance data-centric and DevOps solutions utilizing comprehensive capabilities for the enterprise. In this role, you will treat data as an asset and act as a specialist for data and DevOps within multiple products across the organization. In collaboration with the Data Management team, you will also be part of the data framework design and implementation across the enterprise. You will be responsible for working with Federal Reserve Financial Services staff and leading and motivating the Data Operations and DevOps team. You will use your knowledge of database and DevOps technologies to support activities in Windows, Linux, and AWS cloud environments. Be a resource who can assist with process, procedures, support, planning, and scripting in Federal Reserve Financial Services. You will report to the Application Delivery Services Director.Responsibilities:- Be an escalation point for technical impediments
- Complete required artifacts and follow processes to implement database and DevOps solutions
- Address and resolve technical and complex database and system issues that could affect production applications
- Work with management and technical personnel to provide input on the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of system applications
- Provide support of Oracle, SQL Server, and Amazon databases and DevOps related applications
- Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions
- Create and cultivate an empowered team to create and support cross-functional and external success for the team and its customers
- Leverage your data analysis to recommend where impact will be felt the most and use this to determine prioritization and scoping
- Voice great ideas that provide clarity and motivation for what we need to keep processes accurate and efficient
- Ensure successful task delivery by working closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to see the vision realized
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners, and others, to ensure the data we provide is quality and well formatted for ingestion, creating programs, and working with others to make improvements, documenting "playbooks" for how certain processes work
- Make improvements and process suggested changes throughout the organization
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to the Application Delivery Services Director
- Identify tools and technologies to drive automation and optimization in support of development, testing, and deployment.
- Reduce constraints, replacing manual or repetitive tasks with automation, enabling faster delivery, and find ways to accelerate technology innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to understand proposed changes, gain alignment with stakeholders, and coordinate appropriate testing and validation
- Responsible for the health, reliability, stability, and capacity of the environment
- Manage KPI's for the team, including performance, velocity, and availability
- Build and scale fault-tolerant systems and services to support business growth
- Assist in resolving technical debt and minimizing the creation of new technical debt
- Mentor and coach team members, leading by example
- Recommend development opportunities for the team to broaden and enhance their skill sets
- Monitor team Jira tickets progress and facilitate ticket reviews with the team
- Provide guidance to the team on ticket updates and completing commitments
- Provides functional area leadership, collaboration, and conflict resolution
- Provides direction, motivation, and input into the tactical oversight of the functional area
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
- Associates degree or combination of education and work-related experience
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) training or certification
- 8+ years working with complex projects crossing multiple platforms and diverse technologies
- Planning, estimating, performing, and tracking work related to database management, DevOps systems process analysis, process design or process reengineering
- Experience in data migrations, database change management and data management through the stages of the database life cycle
- Data modeling and metadata management experience is desirable
- Oracle database and AWS cloud experience
- Windows and Linux experience
- Experience with Jira and SharePoint is desirable
- Experience in leading small to mid-sized teams required
- Pipeline based SDLC CI/CD automation
- Working on a scrum team
- Knowledge of Oracle and AWS database management and data integrity
- Script development
- Database performance tuning
- Understanding of DAMA International's DMBoK (Data Management Book of Knowledge)
- DevOps Architecture knowledge
- Understanding of the important areas of data management, including data governance, security, quality, and its application in projects

- Demonstrated skills to lead a diverse technical workforce spread across multiple locations involving the full range of technology platforms and solutions
