ETL Architect
Position Description CGI is seeking a strong ETL Architect to work on one of our St. Louis based clients. Position is based in St. Louis and candidate needs to be able to come into the client's office location every other week (could increase or decrease in the future depending on Covid). We are looking for someone who likes to work in a collaborative team environment to deliver for the client.Your future duties and responsibilities• Work closely with business partners to help translate functional requirements into technical approach, design, and decisions• Consult, design, and build solutions to address the client's business intelligence and data management challenges by following industry best practices• Understand requirements, data models, and source to target mappings• Conduct impact assessment and determine size of implementation efforts• Design the ETL application architecture based on the documented requirements• Perform ETL application development and data transformation efforts• Perform QA functions for the ETL application, including ensuring that unit and integration test plans are developed and executed• Perform root cause analysis/troubleshooting on any code issues• Provide code migration instructions in standard documentation• Perform code reviews to ensure code meets standards and guidelines• Coach and guide the development teamRequired qualifications to be successful in this role• 3+ years of experience as ETL Architect and/or Lead role• 5+ years of experience in Teradata or equivalent SQL-based development, especially writing stored procedures• Expertise in Business Intelligence• Deep knowledge in data warehouse concepts, architecture, and ETL• Ability to tune and optimize query performance for large datasets• Knowledge and experience in data architecture, dimensional modeling, and solution design• Experience in multi-tier development environments and stringent migration process• Understanding of: o Reporting (front-end) needs like table aggregation and performance tuning o ETL scheduling and dependency concepts o Incremental change design concepts o How the reporting and ETL layers interact• Solid communication skills• Strong testing skills#LI-PK1#DICEInsights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
