Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking Hardware Engineers (Associate and Mid-Level) to join the Vehicle Management System (VMS) team located in the St. Louis, MO region .This position will support programs within Phantom Works and the Air Dominance Division within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The position will be supported by The Flight Systems Engineering Capability which is responsible for performing Flight Engineering across a large portfolio of products and development programs.Are you interested in applying your skills and knowledge to develop products that support our US Armed Forces? You will develop supplier specifications and work with suppliers to develop and deliver sensors and electronic equipment. You will prepare integration tests and support lab and vehicle testing. You will get to see tangible results of your efforts as you contribute to any number of exciting aircraft development programs in St. Louis.These positions enable you to work in the flight system integration labs and interact with experienced engineers on a regular basis.Position Responsibilities:
Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.These positions require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ year of experience in an engineering role (or a Master’s degree)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical, electronic or computer engineering
Experience with design and analysis of Electronic/Electrical Systems
Experience in hardware and software integration
Experience with Vehicle Management Systems
Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
Typical Education/Experience:Associate (Level 2):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Mid-Level (Level 3):Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
