Hvac Technician Iii / Facilities Management

JOB OVERVIEW:The purpose of this position is to use advanced knowledge and experience to perform preventative, routine and specialized maintenance duties involving troubleshooting, repair, and/or installation of all Heating/Cooling, Refrigeration, and Ventilation and building management equipment at all County government facilities; and supervise in the absence of the supervisor. The work is performed under the supervision of the HVAC supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of preventive maintenance troubleshoots, repairs and installs HVAC, boiler systems and Refrigeration equipment as well as building systems and controls. Uses a variety of specialized equipment for these systems.Diagnoses and monitors building systems operations. Troubleshoot diagnostic from heat pumps, rooftops units, boilers, chillers and cooling towers, CAVs, VAVs and commercial self-contained units as send from building management system and recommends repairs or replacement.Acts in a lead capacity in the absence of supervisor and carries out special projects requiring advanced skill and understanding.
