Java/Cloud Software EngineerApplies the principles of software engineering to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of solutions in support of applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products

Demonstrates technical skill in at least one programming general purpose language (Java, C#, Python, etc.) and domain specific language (HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor language, etc.), as needed.

Performs peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines.

Partners with customers in the development of innovative solutions that achieve business goals.

Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.

Provides on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products and environments.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience. Senior understanding of subject. Has in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge in discipline.Demonstrated proficiency programming with Java Understanding of AWS cloud development principles, managed services (ECS, S3, etc), serverless computing (DynamoDB, Lambda), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)Experience in UI development with AngularIntermediate proficiency with modern DevOps tooling (e.g. Git, Maven, etc). Demonstrated proficiency with Agile software development principles. Proven ability to adapt and learn new technologies (e.g. Cloud applications, Containers, etc) Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills. Strong initiative, innovative thinking skills, and the ability to analyze details and adopt a big-picture view. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively build relationships, promote a collaborative and team environment, and influence others."Incumbent must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless the Bank grants an accommodation based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief." The primary desired work location for this position is "Kansas City MO. We offer employees the flexibility to work from home up to 80 percent of the time, depending on specific team needs. Full time remote will also be considered for this position.
