Job Description

Cerner's Digital Factory is seeking a Senior System Architect to join their team. The mission of Cerner's Digital Factory is to provide the foundation that enable self-service & on-demand access to services, capabilities, and data for our product development and planning teams. In support of this mission, the Digital Factory team is in the process of deploying a new single pane of glass marketplace. This ecommerce like experience will be built on top of Micro Focus's HCMX commercial product. This team will be responsible for managing the service offerings and roadmap, working with providers and key consumer stakeholders to design, configure, test, deploy and maintain the marketplace. The marketplace architect will be responsible for overall end to end design, defining reusable marketplace components such as entitlement engine, notification options, subscription engine, KPI, change management and integration with other Cerner systems. This associate will also work with the service owners and key consumers to design the specific workflows and interactions for new service offerings while creating re-usable patterns. In addition to these duties, the associate will work with the implementation team to make sure what is built/configured is in alignment to the design. Collaboration with the product manager is key to defining the marketplace roadmap and success in the role. Providing ideas and input on how to automate the workflow tests and create regression suites for each major service offering is also a key component to this role.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of system administration or system engineering work experience
  • At least 5 years VMWare work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years in HCMX or equivalent ecommerce like platform
  • 3 + years' experience with ITSM
  • 3 + years' experience as an architect for an application
  • Understanding of consumption-based provisioning
  • 3+ years expertise in building and deploy marketplace storefronts.
  • Strong triaging skills.
  • Experience in Ansible, Jenkins, Python, XML, YAML and JSON scripts.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps.
  • Understanding of AWS, Google Cloud Platform and other cloud platforms preferred
  • Knowledge on the cloud architecture and APIs.
  • Experience in UI automation
