Do you love art, design, and helping people preserve what matters most?
Are you looking for a full-time position that keeps you active, creative, and engaged—not behind a desk?
We’re a well-established custom framing shop and local art gallery in Kansas City’s Northland, proudly serving our community for over 20 years. We’re seeking an energetic, personable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Picture Framer / Designer.
About the Role:
As a Picture Framer / Designer, you’ll play a key role in both our gallery and custom framing operations. You’ll work directly with customers to design beautiful, meaningful frames and help create curated art displays for individual and corporate clients. You’ll also assist with assembling frames, maintaining the showroom, and ensuring that each order is completed with precision and care.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hands-on creative work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with custom framing design and gallery sales
Offer creative and design advice for art, photos, jerseys, and memorabilia
Create production pieces for the gallery and maintain showroom displays
Cut mats, size, fit, and assemble frames to professional quality standards
Perform quality control on all custom frame orders and follow up with customers
Design and present themed art collections for corporate art clients
Carry and install artwork for residential and business clients
Use Photoshop for digital adjustments or design mock-ups (a plus)
Help maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring store space
What We’re Looking For:
Excellent people skills—friendly, personable, and professional
Strong attention to detail with an eye for color, style, and design
Energetic, adaptable, and comfortable adjusting to changing priorities
Good math skills and ability to handle measurements accurately
Comfortable standing and moving throughout the day—this is not a desk job
Experience in retail, art, or framing is a plus (but not required—we’ll train the right person!)
Dependable, motivated, and eager to be part of a tight-knit, professional team
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay based on experience
Yearly bonuses
Medical insurance provided
Employee discounts on framing and materials
Stable, consistent schedule (full-time or part-time available)
Hours:
Monday–Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM
Full-time schedule consists of five consecutive workdays.
