• Communicate with stakeholders to identify requirements for procuring new solutions. Evaluate third-party hardware and software solutions for use in the company's computer network. Make recommendations to the Vice President of Technology for purchases based on a multitude of factors such as cost, Company needs on both a long-term and short-term basis, quality of hardware and software, and available vendor purchase programs.

• Manage purchases of computer hardware including workstations, servers, routers, switches, printers, copiers, telephone systems, and various software programs including, but not limited to, negotiating pricing, credit terms and delivery of purchases.

• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff. Standardize and automate processes and monitoring using scripting technology.

• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry including current cybersecurity measures, technologies, and prices. Determine whether changes need to be made in the Company's computer system to better protect it from a cybersecurity standpoint including conducting a cost-benefit analysis.

• Monitor the Help Desk tracking software to ensure that Help Desk employees are responding appropriately. Supervise Help Desk employees and assist with issues as necessary.

• Determine what training needs to occur, develop training programs, and train computer users and the Information Technology team on various hardware and software.

• Resolve technical problems with network, computing devices and applications. Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption, determine whether modifications need to be made in the computer system to avoid future service interruptions and establish preventive measures, if it is determined such measures are necessary and advisable.

• Respond to email messages from team members. Follow up with team members to ensure the issue has been resolved.

• Oversee the overall backup strategy and daily operations for secure backups and restore testing.
