Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join the Cruise Missile Systems - Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team located in St. Charles, MO.The Cruise Missiles organization is a strong and growing business that produces long-range precision guided weapons which are employed around the world to support the defense of the United States and more than 30 United States allied countries. The Cruise Missile portfolio includes the Harpoon, Standoff Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER), HIIU and Harpoon Coastal Defense System (HCDS) missile programs.The purpose of the Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) SEIT team is to work with all product development teams, to develop, track, and mature system level and team level requirements, interface control documents, requirement verification methods, verification approach and verification success criteria.This position interfaces with multiple stakeholders including the United States Navy, multiple missile launch platforms government and contractors, International Customers, Program management and individual engineering product teams.The CMS organization's culture values engineers that eagerly take responsibility for solving problems (their own and contribute to cross program problem resolution), have an inherent bias towards action, set very high standards for themselves and for those with whom they work, passionately honor and achieve commitments and are able to deliver valuable results, strive to be the best and to develop the best, and definitely think big and long term.Additionally, we are looking for someone who is looking to learn, stretch, grow, and have fun while doing it.Position Responsibilities Include:
Ensure that the system and subsystem designs meet their performance requirements
Provide support to system and subsystem SETR Event planning, preparation and execution (e.g. design reviews, verification reviews, etc)
Assist development of Model-Based Engineering (MBE) tools, processes and architectures
Assist development of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and architectures
Act as primary point of contact for Systems Engineering related activities to Subsystem Product teams
Work with product teams to develop and track system and subsystem requirements from inception thru verification activities
Assist Enterprise Standard Process Gate (ESGP) engineering reviews across CMS Programs
Help product teams develop and coordinate Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Change Notices (ICNs)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
3+ years of systems engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Secret Clearance.
Prior experience, knowledge working Systems Engineering activities on military applications or aircraft applications.
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation experience.
Systems Engineering experience using tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, JIRA, Windchill, VersionOne, BORIS, and other common tools.
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
