TCI has an immediate need for an

2nd Shift

IT Technician in Blue Springs, MO. This is a contract to hire job and not available for C2C.

SUMMARY The IT Technician will support the assigned facility in the daily operations of IT related issues at an automotive based environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deploy, install, configure, test and support Windows client and server software/systems.
  • Research, evaluate, plan, and support Windows deployment strategies.
  • Ensure hardware, software and operating systems conform with organizational standards and policies.
  • Provide general desktop support for PCs, laptops and servers.
  • Disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • While maintaining the assigned facility, must be able to escalate problems within the IT organization quickly.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Afternoon shift (2pm - 10pm).

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of recent Windows Systems administrator experience.
  • A minimum of two years recent experience with Windows server technology including Windows 2012 server administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows based enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of VMware (use 6.x) administration
  • Ability to provide first line defense trouble shooting of network issues.
  • Ability to support network printers/scanners (use Zebra)
  • Provide excellent customer service and end-user support.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills is a must.
  • Be able to work and communicate and in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends or off-peak hours to support upgrade scenarios or production outage situation.

DESIRED (Nice to have) EXPERIENCE
  • Familiarity of Cisco based technology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UNIX based technology is a plus.
