The Application Delivery Services Supervisory Examiner Solutions department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a .NET Software Engineer. The Federal Reserve plays a major role in providing banking supervision and regulation. This position will be responsible for the design, development, engineering and reengineering of software solutions for a large nationally used enterprise system in support of banking supervision and regulation. Individuals placed within the family will possess specialized technical skills in the domain of software engineering and demonstrates strong learning agility to pick up new technologies, as needed. Progression within the family is both a combination of evolved technical expertise, complexity of assignments and demonstrated leadership. More senior level candidates will demonstrate mastery in these capabilities and be capable of directing other technical resources through the development lifecycle from concept to solution delivery including architecture and design.

Applies the principles of software engineering to the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of solutions in support of applications, databases, test automation tools, and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products.

Demonstrates technical skill in .NET, Angular, and CSS with Java as a nice to have, but not required. Domain specific language (HTML, SQL, proprietary vendor language, etc.), as needed. Experience with IaaS would be a plus.

Performs peer reviews using software engineering principles, patterns, and development guidelines.

Partners with customers in the development of innovative solutions that achieve business goals.

Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements, and implements technical solutions to meet those requirements.

Provides on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products and environments.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :
  • Typically requires at least 3-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of subject to mastery of subject.
  • Performs most work independently with general to limited supervision and direction.

The primary desired work location for this position is Kansas City, Omaha or Denver. We offer employees the flexibility to work from home up to 80 percent of the time, depending on specific team needs. Full time remote will also be considered for this position.
