Summary

The Network Engineer III role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Stifel dataand application networks. This is achieved through the completion of various projects and tasks whichrequire continuous and successful collaboration with the Network Engineering team, their ITassociates, and other business stakeholders.

Essential Duties and

Responsibilities

  • Administering, monitoring, and maintaining IT and digital communication infrastructure, includingwireless, LAN, and WAN
  • Working with third-party carriers, vendors, and providers to maintain the reliability and stability ofthe network
  • Responsible for installing and upgrading network specific hardware for branch office locations
  • Updating and maintaining network documentation
  • Managing incidents and change requests via an established ticketing system
  • Participate in on-call rotation and/or as the first point of contact for issue escalations
  • Ability to mentor, develop training materials, and provide transfer of knowledge to other ITassociates
  • Assist architects and senior engineers with strategic design, planning, and deployment of enterprise levelprojects and solutions
  • Acting as a higher tier resource within the team for network related escalations
  • Experience working with networking and security concepts/technologies in data centerenvironments

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience required
  • 4+ years' experience implementing, designing, and/or troubleshooting data networks
  • In-depth knowledge of computer, network, and telecommunication systems
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to describe technical information in a user-friendly manner
  • Self-motivator who has the ability to effectively work both individually and with a global team
  • Experience with the design, planning, and deployment of large, enterprise-level initiatives
