Oracle/SQL Technical Analyst

SummaryLooking for someone to who would like to grow their career as a DBA to join the team. Need to have knowledge in SQL or PL/SQL.

Responsibilities
  • Primarily, execute DBA functions.
  • Configure and administer Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and AWS RDS (Aurora/PostgreSQL) databases.
  • Maintain databases (e.g., patching, upgrades, table/index reorganizations, application release support).
  • Analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain database objects (e.g., tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, triggers).
  • Monitor and complete DBA ‘Requests for Change’ in a timely fashion.
  • Create, manage, and follow-up on vendor support tickets.
  • Work with DBA staff on identifying and troubleshooting database issues (e.g., connectivity, performance, application errors, ORA/SQL errors).

Requirements
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Database products.
  • Adept at database design, documentation, and coding.
  • In-depth knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Conceptual understanding of AWS and Oracle Cloud technologies.

Preferred
  • Experience with Gitlab and HashiCorp’s Vault and Terraform.
