Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk role based in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role involves handling payroll processes and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all payroll-related tasks. The candidate will work within the finance industry, specifically focusing on accounting software systems and timekeeping systems.Responsibilities: Accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions using Kronos and ADP software. Verification and reconciliation of timekeeping records to ensure accuracy before payroll processing. Calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Handling inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters with professionalism and confidentiality. Preparation of reports for management summarizing payroll information. Maintenance of payroll operations by following policies and procedures and complying with legal requirements. Utilization of various skills including working with Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Benefit Functions.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with Ceridian and IBM AS/400 systems Proficiency in Kronos Timekeeping System and About Time Strong understanding of Accounting Functions Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Benefit Functions Ability to handle Check Processing tasks Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to payroll Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
