The SECL has a suite of flagship technologies that operate at the frontier of cybersecurity research that have reached a critical point of maturation. The primary role of the Project Engineer is to operationalize these cybersecurity technologies. Additional roles include developing a test suite for SECL technologies, including unit tests, component tests, and deployment tests. Other relevant tasks include configuring and maintaining a suite of servers/computers, and generalized technical support for the lab.This position requires an on-site fulltime presence. Research and development efforts in the lab are centered at the nexus of software engineering and cybersecurity with a wide range of customers from government to industry. Our lab prides itself on conducting research on highly pressing topics and developing operational products that meet customer requirements. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Java, Python, Git/GitHub
Proficiency multitasking and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated experience in computer based organizational skills including creating and improving organizational systems with multiple variables (e.g., maintain accurate and detailed reports and records).
Demonstrated experience with software and network security-related policies and guidelines.
Master of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or similar field a plus.
Relevant knowledge with an agile environment preferred.
