We’re seeking a confident and detail-driven Logistics Coordinator to oversee and streamline our shipping, receiving, and freight operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows the ins and outs of shipping regulations, and isn’t afraid to stand their ground with vendors, carriers, or team members. The right candidate will be highly organized, solution-oriented, and capable of negotiating competitive rates while maintaining exceptional communication and professionalism.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping & Receiving Operations:

Manage the scheduling and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.

Ensure accuracy of shipments, documentation, and inventory records.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely, efficient manner.

Carrier & Rate Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers and logistics providers.

Negotiate rates and service terms to maximize value and performance.

Monitor carrier performance and proactively address any delivery issues.

Logistics Process & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all applicable shipping regulations and documentation requirements.

Develop and refine procedures to increase efficiency and reduce shipping costs.

Track KPIs including on-time delivery, freight spend, and order accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with internal departments (Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse) to ensure smooth order flow.

Communicate clearly and assertively with both internal and external partners to resolve issues and enforce logistics standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or shipping (distribution/manufacturing setting preferred).

Strong working knowledge of freight platforms, shipping regulations, and inventory systems. Freightview or C.H. Robinson Experience a HUGE plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); ERP or WMS experience a plus.

The position involves a high level of accuracy on intricate work. An eye for detail is critical and care for quality is essential.

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as work well with others.
