Compensation for this "Tipped" Position:
Base Salary of $2,000 Monthly, plus Tips. Assistant Managers (Shift Managers) will serve tables as well. Tips earned daily will depend on the quality of your service and hospitality. No medical benefits are available. 50% off Food and Beverages for Self, Spouse and Dependent Children. Employer reimbursement for any State and Local Certifications required.
Work Attire:
Clean Causal Dress (No short shorts or over revealing clothing) and Comfortable Shoes (Concrete Floor) with occasionally adding a holiday or event theme to your dress. Black aprons provided by employer.
Manager’s Responsibilities:
Daily Operations:
Manage daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and optimal performance.
Oversee and maintain appropriate levels of inventory.
Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
Staff Management:
Lead, train, and mentor team members, including recruitment, hiring, coaching, development, performance
evaluations, and progressive discipline.
Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper dress, and appearance standards.
Financial Management:
Collaborate on the creation, management, and operation within budget and expense plans to optimize profits and
revenue.
Ensure accurate completion of all financial and administrative duties in accordance with company policies and
procedures.
Adhere to company standards to minimize food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
Guest Experience:
Ensure an excellent guest dining experience by addressing comments and complaints, and implementing corrective
actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Respond to guest feedback through social media or interpersonal interactions.
Operational Standards:
Uphold company standards, service levels, and compliance with federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
Oversee maintenance of kitchen, dining areas, and entire facility, including grounds and parking lot.
Ensure sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness.
Manage safe alcohol serving certifications and uphold safe alcohol serving guidelines.
Implement and maintain proper security procedures to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
Reporting and Communication:
Keep the General Manager informed of all significant issues, problems, and positive events, and take prompt
corrective actions as necessary.
Provide timely reports to appropriate team members (daily, weekly, monthly).
Scheduling and Staffing:
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date staffing plan; prepare schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
Manage shifts, including decision-making, scheduling, planning, and upholding standards.
Other Essential Responsibilities:
Welcome guests and verify guests age prior to serving alcohol.
Take guests food and drink orders, suggest menu items and answer questions politely.
Initiate and maintain appropriate conversations with guests.
Serve guests responsibly, in adherence to company, local, state, and federal regulations.
Verify that food/drink items exceed guest satisfaction.
Anticipate guest’s needs.
Maintain inside and outside bar areas, empty ashtrays, clean tables and chairs, etc.
Answer the telephone when necessary to take call-in orders, etc.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following company recipes.
Enter food and drink orders in the POS system.
Prepare, present, and receive payment for guest checks.
As needed, help set up the bar and restaurant for daily operation.
Organize and clean bar and compartment sinks.
Wash and sterilize glassware; monitor glassware to ensure safety.
As needed, stock utensils, beer, wine, liquor, glassware, juices, waters, coffees, mixes, coolers, etc.
Maintain register cash and balance at end of your shift; submit POS verified cash daily.
Help maintain clean shelves, coolers, rails, bins, mirrors, wood, bottles, lamps, and floors.
Help maintain all bar and restaurant equipment.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Verbally communicate with other shift managers, co-workers, guests, and the public in a friendly and positive
manner.
Serve alcoholic beverages and obtain and maintain Liquor and Managers Food Handler cards as required by County
and State laws.
Embrace Staff and Guest Service Satisfaction, Health and Wellness, and Safety.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Skills and Abilities:
Reasonably Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Light computer skills required.
Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills.
The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work well with, as well as motivate, a variety of personality types and maintain tact and diplomacy
throughout all interactions.
The ability to multitask and prioritize.
Business Hours:
Due to the nature of the business, scheduling will vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Open 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM (Sunday through Thursday)
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Friday and Saturday)
Education, Experience and Other Employer Requirements:
Must be at least 21 Years Old.
Must Read and Speak Fluent English.
Must Pass Drug and Alcohol Test. Employees must submit to Random Drug and Alcohol Testing.
No Felony Criminal Conviction Record, nor any Physical Abuse or Theft Charges. Can not be on Probation.
Valid Missouri Driver License.
No Facial or Tongue Jewelry Allowed.
No fingernail polish or artificial nails unless wearing gloves, while on shift, that are clean and in good condition.
Hair must be pulled back away from face. Missouri law requires all food employees preparing, serving, or handling
food or utensils shall wear hair restraints, such as hats, hair coverings, or nets, which are designed and worn to
effectively keeping hair from contacting non prepackaged food, beverages, bar and kitchen equipment, food and
beverage utensils, etc.
Prior bartending, restaurant food and liquor server experience required.
Certification to serve alcohol as directed by state and county laws required.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of
the time), and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 to 2/3 of the
