Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to join our team. Fridays and Saturdays 4:00pm to 10:00pm, in Kansas City Ks. and Overland Park KS. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.

Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.

Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.

Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Prepare detailed incident reports and document any suspicious activities or breaches of security.

Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.

Assist in loss prevention strategies to minimize risks and protect assets.

Requirements

Proven Security experience is preferred.

Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.

Security background or relevant security training is a plus.

Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
