RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is looking for Security System Engineers familiar with Checkpoint to come aboard a contract to hire opportunity with one of our top Fortune 25 clients in Saint Louis, MO.

Responsibilities: In this role, the Security System Engineer will contribute in the technical support of the IT Security environment and associated applications Coordinate and aid with end-user support, trouble ticket resolution, network security tool configuration, and process/procedural updates Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols The Security System Engineer is responsible for the scheduling, testing, and implementation of enhancements or new releases of security tool features Manage the hardening of IT Security systems and applications Work with team members to solve complex issues Work with team members to understand and implement IT Security tools As a Security System Engineer, you will mentor junior team members Learn new technologies and effectively troubleshoot those tools Aid in process automation to include firewall rule automation Complete assigned work within SLAs/OLAs

REQUIREMENTS: Systems Security or Administration certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, Linux+, Security+, Network+, Cloud+, CCNA, or CCSA are preferred Proficiency with firewall orchestration tools (Checkpoint required - this team is currently on Checkpoint Maestro) Good Linux/Unix skills (candidate should be comfortable with working in a shell/command-line environment) Familiarity with TCP/IP network communication and routing protocols (candidate should have an understanding of how systems communicate via TCP/IP) (firewall and networking experience) Good analytical and problem-solving skills Software Skills Required: Networking, Firewall, and/or Programming skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
