Senior IT Business Analyst

What you'll be doing:The Senior IT Business Analyst works as part of a cross functional team and is responsible for working with business stakeholders to gather, analyze and document requirements for software systems.  They work with software engineers, acting as subject matter experts, and perform quality assurance testing when needed.  The Senior IT Business Analyst will take on the most complex tasks and will be expected to act as a mentor to other business analysts.  They are expected to not just focus on a single system or domain, but are expected to look at the business as a whole.Coach and mentor other Business Analysts, internal and external to the team, on best practices, tools and techniquesServe as the domain subject matter expert and assist in reviewing and improving processes, as neededUtilize experience and advanced technical knowledge to provide product/domain support to the businessInspire and motivate team members to achieve both team and individual goalsWork in a fast-paced team environment while simultaneously managing multiple projects, responsibilities and deadlines with limited oversightConduct initial intake analysis on known software bugs and enhancementsResearch third party applications and SaaS solutions, as needed, in order to support assigned product/domainIdentify and define stakeholder requirements for known software bugs and enhancements; Translate requirements for enhancements and bugs into user storiesIdentify and close gaps in the acceptance of deliverablesDefine and execute test cases for integration and user acceptance testing.Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testingMonitor and validate deploymentsCreate and maintain necessary business documentation on application functionality and business process including activity diagrams, workflows, decision trees, traceability matrices, etc.Effectively communicate to cross-functional team members and managementLeverage critical thinking and problem solving skills to triage user reports of issues, identify patterns. and produce useful artifactsFacilitate requirements gathering and documentation for the most complex projectsPerform gap analysis and ensure traceability of all requirementsConsult with stakeholders to understand business needs, recommend workarounds where applicable, exercise sound judgment and ensure that solution design meets all requirementsPossess a broad understanding of all SVG tech and be able to discern dependencies with other teamsEffectively facilitate decision making by stakeholdersPredictable and reliable attendance required.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
