Senior Project Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions to join a Defense Systems Software team located in St. Charles, MO. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and providing technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design.This organization is a strong and growing business that produces long-range precision-guided weapons which are employed around the world to support the defense of the United States and more than 30 U.S. allied countries. Position Responsibilities Include:-
- Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation
- Perform and document analysis.
- Manage supplier development, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
- Prioritize, delegate and track performance and documentation of analysis of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design
- Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts
- Train and coach others
- Work under minimal direction
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Saint Charles, MO. (3 days onsite and 2 days virtual). This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5 or more years of experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs) and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs)
- 5 or more years of experience providing technical oversight/management of external suppliers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- 10+ year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
