Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstHumana is seeking a Senior Strategy Advancement Professional who will manage various strategic projects that advance Humana Healthy Horizons' organizational strategy. The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This role will help advance Humana's strategic priorities, manage community investment processes, work with senior leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and champion Humana's culture.Humana manages Medicaid benefits for more than 1 million members nationally under the Humana Healthy Horizons™ brand, which reflects our expertise in managing complex populations, our commitment to creating solutions that lead to a better quality of life for our members, and our efforts to deliver human care that makes the healthcare experience easier, more personalized and more caring. Critical to these objectives, will be the organization's ability to effectively formulate and execute on our strategy to better serve our unique and diverse populations.The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will work closely with business leaders to implement strategic plans aimed at improving the health and well-being of the communities served by Humana. This includes coordinating input from corporate, market and leadership to facilitate integration and effectively execute on company strategy. The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the Medicaid President and will work closely with the Chief of Staff on strategic initiatives related to organizational and community investment strategy. Additionally, the Senior Strategy Advancement Professional:

Uses data and analytics to develop recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and advance segment strategy.

Develops creative, clearly written material in support of organizational strategy.

Improves and maintains Humana Healthy Horizons' Community Investment database and processes.

Provides support to corporate and market leaders in strategy development, strategy planning, population health, and market management.

Works cross-functionally to integrate best-practices and synergies across the organization.

Accelerates Medicaid growth strategy by incorporating qualitative and quantitative data points on strategy and community investments into state procurement bids.

Advances Humana's National Housing and Social Determinant of Health strategy.

Works closely with the Medicaid Chief of Staff to develop segment communications and champion Humana's culture.

Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of experience in enterprise strategy, management consulting or community investment management OR Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Health, Master of Health Administration or related field with applicable completed internship/externship.

1 or more years of experience developing and integrating strategic initiatives.

Experience facilitating and presenting with proven written and verbal communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications

Background or familiarity with Humana strategy and operations.

Background or familiarity with state Medicaid programs.

Experience working with community organizations and non-profits.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Additional Information

Workstyle: Home. Home workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs.

Work Location: must reside in one of Humana's Medicaid Prioritized Markets of Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, or Virginia.

Typical Work days/hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Work at Home Internet RequirementsTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
