Job DescriptionOracle’s Retail Global Industry Unit (RGIU) is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our product design team responsible for designing enterprise retail software, collaborating with product management, and working with functional architects and engineers. The right candidate will energize the team, foster collaboration across the organization and lead the drive toward high-caliber, high-performing products in our data centers and our clients’ ecosystems! With a strong, established process and relevant background, this designer will join a small and significant team and contribute to the vision and success of a human-centered design practice within the RGIU.You are seeking to shape the experience of the users of our software as well as that of the teams around the world implementing our products. Your attention to detail is renowned, your design skills impeccable, and you love putting structure around difficult problems. You thrive on being hands-on and immersive. You look for opportunities to improve the way things work. You are used to the complexities of enterprise software. You are also experienced working with PM teams and know how to clarify requirements and work towards consensus and compromise.Show us projects that demonstrate your enthusiasm for solving complex problems, meeting the needs of the user, all while supporting clearly identified business objectives. We want to see your user-centered design methods within research, testing, interaction design and visual design. A portfolio is required.What you’ll make happen:

Establish relationships with product management and engineering teams

Work with the managers of these teams to continually improve our design and development processes

Act as the user-advocate in cross-functional teams with product, architects and engineering

Lead high-visibility hands-on design projects from concept through delivery

Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish

Present your work to internal and client stakeholders

Establish functional collaboration with fellow designers, product teams and development

Partner with user research to support your design process and recommendations

Provide ongoing support to FAs and engineers during development project rollouts

Desired qualifications:

BA/BS in a design-oriented discipline (or equivalent work experience)

At least 6 years relevant design experience, working with a UX team

A portfolio of well-designed, human-centered projects (include password, if required)

May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
