Coordinator of Site InterventionsReports to: Principal and Director of Alternative ProgramsSalary: Coordinator of Site Interventions Salary ScheduleLength of Contract: 203 dayPurpose StatementThe Lebanon R-III School District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Coordinator of Site Intervention.The job of Coordinator of Site Intervention was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program by serving as a building coordinator with the specific responsibility for developing student success through the knowledge (academics), skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking) and dispositions (responsibility, grit, perseverance) needed for success; The Coordinator of Site Intervention will also developing lesson plans and delivering group and/or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines as needed; supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; collaborating with teachers and other professional staff and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.Essential Functions

Implements attendance interventions for the purpose of increasing student attendance.

Monitors data relative to at-risk indicators (ex: academic performance, discipline, attendance) for applicable students for the purpose of ensuring timely and effective intervention.

Collaborates with counselors and administrators from previous school building to identify entering students with at risk indicators for the purpose of proactively establishing relationships and increasing awareness.

Aligns services with student intervention teams, counselors and other CSIs for the purpose of consistently implementing support strategies.

Collaborates with teaching staff relative to the implementation of strategies for at-risk students for the purpose of providing appropriate support from multiple points of contact.

Assists students and families in the transition between elementary, middle and high school for the purpose of improving the likelihood of success.

Assists in various leadership capacities (e.g. Student Intervention Team, etc.) for the purpose of expanding staff capacity to implement intervention techniques.

Monitors the attendance of applicable students and assists with appropriate discipline (e.g. truancies, tardiness) for the purposes of emphasizing the importance of attendance and removing barriers.

Collaborates with activity sponsors and coaches for the purpose of increasing student participation and engagement.

Supervises students as assigned during the school day and at extracurricular activities for the purpose of ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.

Job Requirements(Minimum Qualifications)Knowledgeis required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: appropriate codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; age appropriate activities; lesson plan requirements; stages of child development and behavioral management strategies.Skillsare required to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: maintaining organized records, preparing and maintaining accurate records; applying assessment instruments; and operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications.Abilityis required to schedule act vities, meetings and/or events; gather, collate and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. In order for schools to operate effectively, employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours during each designated workday, unless the employee has received approved leave

Any deviation from assigned hours must have prior approval from the employees supervisor or building administrator.

All employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of Lebanon R-III School District and is appropriate for their position.

ResponsibilityResponsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a small work unit; utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is some opportunity to significantly impact the organizations services.Terms of EmploymentThis position is treated as full-time exempt certified position. Bachelors degree in job related area, required
