Sr. Billing Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Billing Specialist to assist our Accounts Receivable Manager with invoicing and cash applications. The Senior Billing Specialist will play a key role in creating monthly invoices and applying cash remittances, as well as assisting with collections communications and the monthly close process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create monthly invoices in Workday for all Payments legal entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Review bank activity and apply customer cash remittances to open invoices.

Assist Accounts Receivable Manager with researching customer questions and requests.

Review Accounts Receivable Agings and communicate overdue invoices to customers, including sending Dunning Letters.

Track short-term and long-term postage deposits by customer.

Provide support for external audits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline processes.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

5+ years of experience in a similar role

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Motivated self-starter with problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of ERP environments. Experience with Workday Financials a plus

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Expectation to work primarily in the St. Louis, Missouri office on a regular basis (minimum 3 days a week)

Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, if possible, when the monthly invoices are created and emailed to customers.
