- Work with manufacturing, business, subject matter experts to resolve issues in production database systems.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process and system improvements to improve the performance and reliability of manufacturing factory database systems.
- Assist other team members with database design and architecture.
- Assist in the building and implementation of database upgrades and new database technologies.
- Assist building and adding to knowledgebase which can be shared with others.
- Use Agile methodologies to ensure application backlog is aligned, maintained and achieved throughout project cycles.
- Manage database objects - libraries, views, tables, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions.
- Contribute to team efforts that support other departmental related initiatives
- Collaborate with factory personnel & other internal and external business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years experience or Associates degree plus 7 years experience or 10 years experience in information technology or related technical field.
- 5+ years experienced in IBM DB2 LUW database administration.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- DB2 and cross platform database replication.
- ETL processes (SSIS, Azure ADF, etc.)
- IBM Infosphere CDC.
- Azure SQL Server is a plus.
- Solid data modeling and database design skills.
- Administering and performance tuning of DB2 environment.
- Strong working knowledge and command of the use of SQL with SQL databases.
- Experience with backup and restore processes.
- Excellent data investigative, analysis, and detective skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills in high pressure situations.
- Demonstrated experience of deployment and implementation of small projects as they relate to databases.
- Good understanding of technical landscape (i.e. Windows desktop and server operating systems, networks, and Windows applications).
- Basic project management understanding and skills.
