Role: Sr. Quality Engineer Duration: 6+ months Location: Kansas City, MO REMOTE Include the day-in-the-life of your team: The testers will be creating and updating all Load/Performance tests for features and providing analysis of Performance Results. The person will also expand the automation framework's capabilities as required. The person will be paired with Sr. Quality Engineer throughout the six-month contract. The other tester will concentrate more on writing scripts that run automatic tests for web services and some GUI on new or existing software, also hands-on exposure to GitLab pipelines. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • (3+) years automation testing exposure with at least one automation tool- Karate or Rest Assured
  • (3+) years automation testing exposure with JMeter
  • Applying BDD(Cucumber) practices in software development
  • Professional production experience with Git and related tools
  • Proficient using IDE tool - IntelliJ or Eclipse
  • Proficient with Java or other JVM language
  • SQL knowledge, proficiency in query writing, structure
  • XML and Web Service testing knowledge/experience.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Designing and maintaining Tests within a CI/CD Pipeline
  • Understanding of REST and demonstrated automation experience with REST APIs (Application Programmer Interfaces) and microservices.
  • (1+) years of experience on a cross-functional agile team.
  • Coordinating integration, regression, and performance testing in a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment
  • Implementing scalable & maintainable test automation solutions
  • JIRA or other issue tracking tool
  • Hands-on knowledge of Cloud technologies such as AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Ability to understand basic programming logic and development.
  • Proficient at gathering and analyzing data through interviews and observations.
  • Experience with the development lifecycle; including providing input into the analysis, design, construction, implementation, and evolution phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Works on a cross-functional agile team to perform all duties outlined below.
  • Actively participates in team meetings (daily stand-up, planning, retrospective, etc.)
  • Follows all standards and best practices as defined by the client's solution architects.
  • Follows accepted guidelines on version control for all technical development.
  • Understands application design, development languages, and tools
  • Writes and maintains whatever technical documentation is needed or required in support of development.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves data and application software problems as assigned.
  • Operates under moderate or minimal supervision in a collaborative environment.
  • Reviews and updates items in the change management tracking system to communicate with the team and all other interested parties.
  • Maintains systems and programs by aiding user groups in problem resolution and providing technical solutions to resolve problems.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the customers, both internally and externally.
  • Displays willingness to work effectively and learn from more experienced staff.
  • Understands the software development life cycle and how it translates to different methodologies (agile, scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Requirement: Bachelor's degree or associate in applied science specific to Computer Science or minimum of 5 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
