Job Description Your philosophy will be one of automation, improved software quality/performance, and resilience. You will be a go-to source for information on software and operational high-performance design patterns and assist various development, architectural, and operational teams throughout the entire development process in order to produce scalable and resilient solutions with multiple locations that are highly available.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist development, architecture, and operational teams with performance and capacity-related problems with sophisticated distributed multi-tier platforms both during the SDLC and after the project is completed.
  • Assure product readiness by supporting/coordinating new Build/Run activities prior to production, including infrastructure suggestions, software/script creation, load/chaos testing, optimization, SLO definition, capacity planning, and observation/alerting.
  • Assisting teams in overcoming test scenario design obstacles through support for Self-Service performance testing
  • Examine the source code to find any bottlenecks. Find ways to scale up and increase performance.
  • Conduct fresh POCs for more recent architectural styles and technology to assist teams in making wise choices. Define new SLOs for services and applications. Perform workload analysis/help teams define testing scenarios to meet non-functional SLA requirements defined by the business.
  • Strive for effective throttling, queuing, pooling, and autoscaling across application and infrastructure tiers to lower/minimize ongoing runtime costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting large-scale distributed multi-tier on-premises and cloud applications.
  • Experience with Application Performance Optimization is mandatory
  • Expertise in designing, creating, and implementing novel infrastructure solutions for hybrid on-premises/cloud applications.
  • Expertise of performance engineering or capacity planning, as well as the use of predictive analytics to identify the platforms' essential scaling patterns. Experience programming in languages such as Java, NodeJS, Go, Python, Ruby, Bash, Perl, and JavaScript
  • Java, NodeJS, Go, Python, Ruby, Bash, Perl, or JavaScript programming expertise
  • Experience in web development and/or building web services.
  • Proven cross-functional expertise in databases, systems, storage, networking, and security.
  • Experience of OS-related performance utilities and Linux commands
  • Expertise with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skilled Architect in Google AppEngine, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with LRU/MRU caching schemes and solutions utilizing MemCached or Redis for attaining scale and performance.
  • Experience with designing fundamental Springboot services and using the Spring Framework.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka or Pub/Sub solutions.
  • Expertise or knowledge with building websites utilizing cutting-edge single-page MVC frameworks
  • Proficient with Google Developer Tools performance tracing and profiling
  • Working knowledge of Apache Web Servers, Tomcat/F5 Load Balancers, Jetty, and Adobe Experience Manager
  • Adobe Experience Manager optimization expertise.
  • Experience with SQL and database scaling/replication schemes
  • Be conversant with front-end analysis tools like Lighthouse, Page Speed Metrics, WebpageTest, GTMetrix, and browser developer tools.
  • Knowledge of AngularJS, React, and Vue.
  • Experience with Postgres and MongoDB/Atlas
  • Expertise in maximizing the performance of Java (JVMs), Node.js, and Python runtime environments
  • Experience with DevOps/Quality gating concepts, Canary deployments, and automation associated with CI/CD deployments.
  • Expertise in domain model-driven design and enterprise architecture integration patterns, which address the appropriate separation of responsibilities for applications/microservices and core web services.
  • Knowledge of observational software such as StackDriver, Dynatrace, Splunk, Quantum Metrics, and Akamai solutions.
  • Knowledge of JVM tools like JProfiler/Java Flight Recorder and cloud profiling tools.
  • Working knowledge of testing metrics and methodologies utilizing tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, or others.
