Compensation RangeAnnual Salary: $69,500.00 - $93,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)About This JobThe main purpose of this job is to lead and supervise one or more consumer real estate secured (mortgage) servicing functions comprising 5 – 15 team members in a multi-dimensional servicing operation.Essential Functions

Supervise some of the essential specific functional areas of the department including Customer Service, Escrow, Special Loans, Investor Accounting, Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure/REO

Contribute to the department and business line strategy including value proposition alignment

Direct responsibility for the completion of daily activities or tasks associated with the function of a portion of the department. Incorporate strong people leadership skills into strategy implementation at all levels. Cast an excellent leadership shadow.

Help shape the customer experience by proposing or adjusting daily support activities or projects related to servicing functions within their scope of responsibility. Support overall service levels and customer satisfaction for the servicing segment of the mortgage business.

Contribute to delivering an accurate servicing department budget and forecast, and is directly responsible for the servicing department financial and productivity performance for the functions within scope of responsibility

Actively participate in the development of the CBM business plan. May have direct responsibility for implementation for some of the servicing related components

May own and maintain some of the relationships with technology vendors that support mortgage servicing and Mortgage Electronic Registration System (MERS)

Contribute to and help maintain the departmental policies and procedures that are reflective of regulatory, investor and bank requirements/guidelines. Help ensure some or all investor, government and bank required Quality Assurance and Control process are running as required. Remediate findings as necessary.

Identify new or modified business needs utilizing strong data analysis and sound decision making skills

Build relationships with internal and external partners and clients. Capable of analysis and negotiation of vendor/partnership agreements. Present detailed recommendations for execution of agreements to manager.

Provide input to user/industry groups. Track key industry trends & reports. Contribute to development of regulatory and competitive strategy & recommend actions to Senior Management.

Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs

Participate in necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required

Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively

Support budget management, planning and expenditure

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Strong level knowledge of mortgage servicing, including best practices

Strong people leadership and performance management skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing

Strong knowledge of analysis and negotiation of vendor/partnership agreements

Ability to comprehend Terms of Agreement well enough to assess status and recommend changes based on changes to law/regulation

Ability to remain keenly aware of the need to assess and report operational, legal, and regulatory risk associated with a change in technology, policy, vendor, procedure, or practice

Ability to travel as needed

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems

Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred.

4+ years mortgage servicing or collections experience required

2+ years leadership/supervisory experience required

This compensation range is for the Supervisor, Mortgage Loan Servicing & Senior Supervisor, Mortgage Loan Servicing job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $69,500 to $93,000 annually. Depending on the job level, this position may be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
