Job Description

As an Integrated Technologies System Engineer II on the Clinical Imaging team, you will be responsible for providing consulting implementation services to our clients for Cerner's Clinical Imaging products. These products include ECG Management, Cardiovascular Image Management, Cerner Worklist Manager, and Cerner Radiology PACS and CAMM 7.

In this role, you will need a strong understanding of Linux system administration, database technologies, Windows servers and workstations, Networking, TCP/IP, WAN analysis etc. You will also gain knowledge of clinical imaging workflows and use those skills to support clients through project engagements in which these solutions will be implemented, upgraded, and maintained. You will consult with clients on technical architecture decisions, and guide clients through interdependencies and decision impacts. You will provide solution oversight and expertise to stakeholders. You will help develop deployment strategies for our solutions and provide clients with deployment recommendations. You will perform complex technical troubleshooting and issue resolution and escalate as appropriate.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or relevant degree
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux or other Unix based Operating Systems
  • Experience with database systems - preferably Oracle and/or MySQL
  • Experience working with DICOM, HL7, PACS/VNA etc.
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience leading and/or facilitating large meetings/engagements

Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
  • Position can be Kansas City based or Remote
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
