Job Description:Essential Job Functions:

Hires, trains, and supervises PSR staff according to program and agency standards to include individual supervision to direct supports and regular team meetings.

Oversees program budget and fiscal operations, ensuring program accountability and efficiency.

Ensures PSR program meets all DMH, CARF and any other relevant certifications and requirements.

Develops PSR Programming and weekly schedule by utilizing evidence-based practices (Illness Management and Recover (IMR) and relevant best practice models to ensure quality and strengths-based groups are provided.

Manages all referrals to the PSR program through the electronic medical record and meets with clients to assess appropriateness for the program.

Ensures that adequate orientation to the program for all participants is provided to include the completion of the program orientation checklist, and appropriate orientation materials are provided to all program participants.

Coordinates with Community Behavioral Health Specialist (CBHS) the scheduling of the annual assessments for those clients in the PSR program that are not assigned a community support specialist.

Maintains caseload and completes all required document of PSR clients.

Ensures clients attending the PSR program without an assigned community support specialist, whose needs have increased, are communicated to the Intake Clinician for timely assignment to a treatment team and a community support specialist.

Coordinates with Food Service Specialist to support the nutritional needs of PSR members.

Ensures all required program documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets agency policy and standards.

Ensures safe and appropriate transportation is provided to all PSR consumers. Ensures program drivers meet all accrediting standards and state law requirements and all necessary documentation is maintained in personnel files.

Ensures the company maintains active involvement and coordination with the RESPECT Institute, works with the Development Department to advertise in the community and coordinate requests for speaking engagements.

Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.

Maintains standards of agency and privileging policies and procedures.

Must acquire and maintain required training per agency policy and DMH regulations to include documented attendance of professional development/training or education.

Submits written reports on any incidents accurately and within twenty-four hours to the program director and/or risk manager according to agency and DMH policy.

Provides transportation as needed.

Provides group education and PSR services when needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Capability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively (verbal and written) to produce clear and concise reports.

Establishing rapport in professional relationships

Must have proven administrative skills, knowledge of CPRP procedures and regulations. Some accounting experience is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles and techniques as they relate to mental health services.

Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the employee is assigned.

Aptitudes to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program responsibilities.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field required or year-for-year experience with demonstrated knowledge/understanding of mental illness.

Must have 2 years’ experience in providing community-based services, at least 1 of those years with experience in working with the seriously and persistently mentally ill population.

Supervisory Requirements:

Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of Psychosocial rehabilitation work.

Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.

Involve, as appropriate, all employees in order to achieve goals.

Effectively communicate to employees any changes and news worthy events within the department or company to all associates to ensure practice.

Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual

Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.

Reinforce team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.

Employment Requirements:

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.

Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record is required. Class E or CDL license preferred.
