About the role:This position will allow you to play a pivotal role in supporting the change control process for the ACH and Check payments systems operated by the Federal Reserve. You will be actively involved in all change control processes, including implementation and customization of the Retail Payments application software, and related components for all environments.Top candidates will have the technical aptitude to move software into environments and collaboratively troubleshoot issues when they occur. You will also assist the team in the transition to DevOps processes aligned with Safe Agile methodology. Ensuring all change management information has been reviewed, approved, and communicated to appropriate Retail Payments personnel is a major component of the job. You will also assist Change Control Staff in the development of change management policies and system documentation as required by application standards and methodologies and support the creation and monitoring of change management reports. The primary desired work location for this position is Kansas City, MO., but remote workers are eligible to apply and will be considered. Associates who do office in Kansas City have the flexibility to work from home up to 80 percent of the time, depending on specific team needs. Important Responsibilities- Implement changes accurately and timely in close coordination with cross-functional peers that include Project Managers, Developers, Testers, Release Managers, and other technical support staff.
- Manage Jira ticket assignments, communicate changes to appropriate teams and ensure key individuals are included in process and communications.
- Create, review, and track change tickets in Service Now.
- Manage relationships with cross functional teams.
- Assist Change Team in the transition to SAFE Agile methodologies, including CI/CD practices, scripting, and close collaboration with agile scrum teams.
- Learn how ACH and Check applications operate and develop into a subject matter expert.
- Engage and adapt to the new Federal Reserve Financial Services structure through collaboration with colleagues from other payments offices.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to complex problems under tight deadlines.
- Able to present and explain concepts and information to diverse types of audience: executives, managers, subject matter experts, software developers, users, vendor, and other technical staff.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting in various environments (testing through Production), collaborate with other technical teams (software development, Production Support, Project Management, etc.), and document resolutions.
- Strong communication skills with experience providing technical advice and recommendations.
- Understand of automation scripting.
- This position typically does not require any previous experience, but candidates with 2 year or more years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Bachelors' degree in business, information technology, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
- Awareness of ITIL change control processes. Experience working with ITIL preferred.
- Awareness of Remedy\\ServiceNow. Experience working with Remedy/ServiceNow preferred.
- Awareness of Safe Agile and CI/CD methodologies. Experience with Safe Agile and CI/CD methodologies preferred.
- Awareness of Jira or similar ticketing tool. Experience with Jira or similar ticketing tool preferred.
- Awareness of Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces. Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces preferred.
- Ability to drive DevOps culture in SAFE agile model, develop/improve CI/CD build pipeline, incorporate automation in deployments, and support multiple agile delivery teams.
