Tri Axle Dump Truck Position

About us:

We are a small family owned business in Pleasant Hill, MO.

We haul aggregate (rock, sand and gravel) to job sites throughout the KC Metro and surrounding areas. We keep well maintained trucks; because the safety of our drivers and other drivers on the roadways is very important to us.

We are seeking a Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving and operating (a manual) Kenworth W-900 or comparable Tri-Axle Dump Truck and have at least 3 years Tri-Axle dump truck experience. Candidate must also be punctual, pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as random drug tests, and work well with others and have a clean driving record. Must be reliable and show up for work when scheduled.

Essential Functions:

Operate dump trucks in compliance with all applicable safety regulations. Maintain a clean work area. Performs pre-trip inspection of equipment on a regular basis. Maintain equipment records as required by law. Report any maintenance issues to management immediately. Maintain the ability to operate equipment in extreme weather conditions (heat/cold/humidity). Ability to operate in tight spaces.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required. Inspect equipment for defects, damage or malfunction prior to leaving the job site. Perform basic troubleshooting/repair work on pre-trip inspections prior to leaving the shop each day. Identify/report any safety issues at all times. Follow all company safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience of 2 years with an open schedule preferred.

Must have a valid CDL license with acceptable driving record/history preferred.

Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug test.

Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures (heat/cold). Ability to operate machinery efficiently and safely in all conditions.

Ability to follow instructions; Work independently and meet deadlines; Maintain a high level of safety; Be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers; Be able to handle conflict situations; Be able to read, write and communicate in English; Be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English; Be able to work overtime if needed; Be able to perform essential duties and keep a high level of attention to detail; Have good vision; Have knowledge of different types of construction materials; Have knowledge of different types of dump trucks; Have basic knowledge of different types of excavators; Have basic knowledge of different types of loaders.

Salary: $26-$27.00 per hour based on experience
