Bookkeeper (Commercial Construction)

Aspyn Contractor Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced part-time Construction Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with a focus on construction or related industries. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our construction projects with accurate financial tracking and reporting. Hybrid remote / office flexibility.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for construction projects.

2. Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.

3. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.

4. Prepare and submit payroll.

5. Assist with project cost tracking and budgeting.

6. Generate financial reports and analysis as needed.

7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

8. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support financial operations.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.

2. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

5. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

8. Availability to work part-time hours, 15-20 hours per week.
