Overview:As a member of the kitchen staff, the cook supports the executive chef and fellow coworkers in the day to day operations of the kitchen. They need to work well with a team and strive for achieving the highest level of food quality, customer satisfaction, and productive engagement with peers.Essential Functions:Create a positive and energetic environment that supports the delivery of an exceptional guest dining experience while upholding the highest level of TCR and Relais & Chteaux standards.Support daily communications with the culinary team, dining room service managers and sommelier on special requests, menus, guest dietary needs and changes to culinary norms.Support the executive chef in recipe development, menu planning, dish presentation, and special event coordination. Read communications daily for guests special requests and dietary needsModify recipes/orders to meet customers needs and requestsAttention to detail and appropriate plate presentationDeliver the highest level of customer service standards ensuring an optimum dining experience. Uphold a professional kitchen image, including kitchen sanitation and cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards. Respond to all guest requests and issues immediately. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, food storage and back dock area.
