Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including systems analysis, design and implementation
Strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
Implementation experience on complex, large scale distributed applications
Working knowledge of micro-service-based technologies such as containerization, services and API models
Hands on experience with different database / storage technologies
Experience with web and de facto standards like SOAP, REST, GraphQL, JSON, OData, AMQP, JMS, MQTT
Ability to recommend end-state architecture for both Event & Batch driven data integrations
Understanding of batch integrations which are ETL / ELT in nature
Ability to drive towards a common technical solution by bringing disparate technical viewpoints to the same plane
Must be architect level capable of leading teams, presenting to leadership, defining and directing project work
Recent experience leading projects with modern architecture patterns
Expertise troubleshooting and resolving production problems
Demonstrable experience with change management processes and procedures
Creativity in addressing technical challenges
Team-player who is flexible and able to work with end-users and production issues simultaneously
Experience running mid to large size 24x7 production systems
Extensive systems integration experience in a diverse multi-platform environment
Well versed in CI/CD practices, secure by design development and agile
Extensive experience leading hyperscaler and hybrid cloud transformation integrated with on-premise solutions
Ability to pass a drug test and a background check
Strong leadership skills including interpersonal communication skills preferred

Apply application rationalization to standardize portfolio and ensure efficiency across company
Lead special projects as required utilizing effective change and project management techniques
Ensure alignment across data, security and infrastructure architecture
Design enterprise solutions with complex integrations
Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant technologies into road map
Ensure systems are updated and modernized for new benefits and capabilities
Help design long term strategic goals for application and platform rationalization
Actively work to reduce technical debt
Lead product delivery teams leveraging agile methodologies to deliver solutions
Drive Dev/Sec/Ops for the integration platform delivery
Collaborate with technical personnel in other divisions and functions to accomplish enterprise-wide goals
Create and maintain governance and standards for use across the enterprise focused on architecture documentation, patterns and procedures
Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Ensure self and others actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.$144,600 - $230,800 annually, depending on experience.
