Distributor Operator (State-wide)

Riverside Contracting, Inc. is seeking a skilled distributor operator for its chip seal operations. Riverside performs work on road construction projects throughout Montana and Wyoming. The ideal candidate has experience operating distributor trucks. This role requires precision, technical skill, strong attention to detail, and safety awareness in a high stress and fast paced environment.

Start Date and Location – June 9, 2025 in Martinsdale, MT. Travel is required. Work locations will change as the season progresses.

Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal

Wage: $34.66 - $35.70 hourly, plus hotel, per diem, and bonus program

Qualifications:

Valid MEC and CDL with Tank and HazMat endorsements

Experience operating distributors or other trucks on highway construction sites

Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and basic repairs

Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members

Ability to work flexible or extended hours depending on weather and project schedules

Pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with supervisors, refinery, and delivery drivers to receive hot emulsion according to production schedule

Transfer and circulate hot emulsion until ready for application

Apply hot emulsion to roadway surface with precise and uniform distribution to meet specifications

Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

Maintain accurate logs of work performed, materials used, equipment maintained, and hours of service

Assist other crew members as needed
