AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to join our team in Billings, MT.  In this role, you will work closely other team members to support remediation system operation and maintenance and groundwater monitoring projects at client facilities in the Montana region. You will ideally have experience in mechanical systems and environmental remediation/sampling. Mechanical experience may include pump repair, plumbing, construction, home repair, auto maintenance or similar. Typical projects include operation and maintenance of groundwater treatment systems, soil remediation, and soil and groundwater sampling.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Managing data and tracking operating parameters.Performing routine fieldwork (such as environmental multi-media sampling, operations, maintenance, and inspection of equipment) working under close supervision for the first six months.Performing routine activities associated with remediation system operation and maintenance, general equipment maintenance, groundwater monitoring, and recording accurate field data.Other activities may include health and safety coordination, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications, maintaining proper project documentation, and subcontractor oversight.Position will require OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste operations (HAZWOPER) and other safety training.Travel to work sites requiring overnight stay may be required up to 1 week per month
