Finish Grader Operator (State-wide)

Riverside Contracting Inc. is seeking a skilled finish blade operator. Riverside performs work on road construction projects throughout Montana and Wyoming. The ideal candidate has experience operating motor graders to achieve precise grading and surface finishing for roads, pads, slopes, and other construction specifications. This role requires precision, technical skill, strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Start Date and Location – June 2025 in Havre, MT. Travel is required. Work locations will change as the season progresses.

Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal

Wage: $35.60 - $39.27 Hourly Plus Per Diem

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating a finish grader in road construction or site development

Understanding of site plans and specifications

Experience using GPS grading systems, Trimble and Topcon preferred

Ability to work flexible or extended hours depending on weather and project schedules

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

Perform fine grading on subgrades, shoulders, base materials, and paving surfaces

Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and survey stakes to ensure proper elevations and slopes

Use electronic grade control systems to achieve precise final grades

Coordinate with surveyors, foremen, and superintendents to meet project deadlines

Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance on motor grader to ensure safe and efficient operation
