The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, be able to work with minimal oversight, and have a desire to work and grow as a team player. Duties and Skills:Performing analysis of existing fire protection systems, and design new systems.Possess project management skills to manage internal projects and external client needs.Be comfortable managing project scope, budgeting, and project accounting.Be a team player with a drive to positively mentor entry level fire protection engineers.Performing research and documenting for internal and external distribution.Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.Assist in managing CAD and production efforts.Perform consulting services for internal clients utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills.Technical skills can include:Building and fire code analysis and interpretationAutomatic suppression system designFire detectionAlarm and mass notification system designLife-safety code analysis and egress analysisFire resistant construction analysisSmoke control analysis and special inspectionGeneral fire protection and life safety concepts and researchManaging day-to-day contact with internal and external clients while utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations.Possess semi-advanced computer skills regarding computer-aided drafting, Revit, graphics, fire dynamic simulation, Outlook, email, Word, and Excel.Be a positive contributor to the overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.Able to multi‐task and prioritize in a fast‐paced environment.Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.Perform other duties as may be assigned.This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
