POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Information & Referral Specialist
Schedule: Flexible up to 20 hrs./week; Monday-Friday (between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Compensation: $18.60/hr. plus an excellent benefit package that includes retirement, paid holidays, paid time off, etc.
Closing Date: Position is open until filled.
Job Summary:
This position with the 2-1-1 Information and Referral line assesses the needs of callers, searches the computer database, provides callers with accurate information, and makes referrals to appropriate resources. The specialist will also interview individuals for inclusion in the Missoula Coordinated Entry System database. Services are provided only via telephone. There is no personal contact with the caller.
Hours and days worked each week are scheduled by the Community Information and Referral Services Coordinator. The hours and days worked each week will vary.
Minimum Qualifications:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this position are usually acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and at least two years of experience in guidance, advising, and/or working with low-income people. Other combinations of education and experience that could provide these knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
