Responsibilities:
Oversee administration by the Company’s third-party leave administrator (“TPA”) of associate leaves of absence (under federal and state laws and Company policy, including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, military, disability, Wellness, and workers compensation leaves) and coordinate with TPA as needed
Perform leave administration activities to include but not limited to: preparing correspondence, data entry, management of return to work process, document review and analysis, file updates and maintenance, and document management
Communicate with and serve as liaison between and among the Company, associates, managers, and relevant third parties for LOA related matters
Collaborate with the internal business partners (e.g., workplace accommodations, employee relations, workers compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, & legal teams) regarding LOA matters as needed
Respond to leave policy-related questions
Effectively document system and process changes with clarity, completeness, and specificity
Assist in establishing/enhancing process automation and efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
5 years of previous experience working with leave administration under the Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act and other state leave and disability programs
5 years of experience in a team-based environment in human resources
Functional knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, USERRA, STD, LTD, state leave laws and procedures
Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
Proven ability to quickly and accurately input, review, organize, and analyze data
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with internal contacts at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts
