Job Description

North 40 Outfitters is hiring for a Wellness Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and planning the development and implementation of a company-wide wellness program and campaign.

A wellness program as defined byHealthcare.gov websiteis:

A program intended to improve and promote health and fitness that’s usually offered through the work place, although insurance plans can offer them directly to their enrollees. The program allows your employer or plan to offer you premium discounts, cash rewards, gym memberships, and other incentives to participate. Some examples of wellness programs include programs to help you stop smoking, diabetes management programs, weight loss programs, and preventative health screenings.

• Designs and develops a company-wide wellness program, as well as identifies wellness program goals.
• Organizes, coordinates, plans, and facilitates health and fitness activities and programs for employees, as well as all other aspects of the wellness program with an understanding of how employees are uniquely motivated.
• Involves others in decision making processes by working closely and collaboratively through interactive communication with others.
• Motivates and inspires others by planning, implementing, and providing presentations and training, as well as classes, speakers, seminars, and fitness assessments that promote healthy lifestyles, such as health screening and other associated activities.
• Compiles statistical summaries of participant data, attendance, and participation of employees, etc.…
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Maintains wellness records.
• Preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of wellness program.
• Responds to employee questions and problems by interpreting the wellness program and procedures.
• Initiates and maintains ongoing professional and technical knowledge such as current wellness trends and best practices.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, and assuming responsibility for risk.

Qualifications

• Specialized working knowledge of wellness programs in a retail or similar environment
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, ADA, ADAAA, GINA, ACA and other applicable legislation
• People/relationship focus, Team building
• Ability to inspire, motivate others, and engage their commitment to the Wellness Program
• Ability to engage and positively impact individuals and groups is essential
• Collaborative decision-making
• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and stimulating communicator
• Urgency to goal achievement and responsibility for the achievement of results
• Strong commitment to results
