Business Intelligence Developer

Midwest Global Solutions LLC is looking to fill multiple Business Intelligence Developer positions in Omaha, NE (may telecommute part of time from home residence in the Omaha, NE MSA). Job duties include: Design and develop enterprise and departmental BI Reporting and Analytics solutions. Partner with senior management to understand and deliver performance insights and key analytics solutions. Lead, schedule, and troubleshoot technical implementations, from data definitions to models to end user reporting. Build, mentor, and guide the business intelligence team to provide BI technical solutions as well as actionable information. Write complex SQL (some MDX) code and stored procedures to be utilized by applications, ETL and reports. Develop and implement standard reporting using advanced SQL to manipulate large datasets. Develop interactive analytics dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI and SSRS. Work with a variety of data sources SQL Server, Oracle, Flat files, etc. Gain subject matter expertise level knowledge in the company’s data base and business processes. Gather and document reporting requirements from customer meetings regarding report development and ad hoc requests. Results-driven with ability to take initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science/applications, information technology, or a related field and 3 years’ experience in an IT-related position. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:

3 years’ experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

3 years’ experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices

3 years’ experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes

Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets

Alternatively, will accept a master’s degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science/applications, information technology, or a related field and 1 year or experience in an IT-related position. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:

1 year experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

1 year experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices

1 year experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes

Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
