Omaha, NE Looking for a CMDB Administrator experienced with the day-to-day configuration and management of the ServiceNow CMDB focused on ensuring operational integrity of the ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery processes, integrations, audit and data clean-up activities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or 7 years of equivalent experience
  • 3 years’ experience with the ServiceNow CMDB and how it supports other ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management
  • Experience managing CI data in a ServiceNow CMDB
  • Experience connecting data and building relationships in ServiceNow CMDB. (i.e., Business Applications, Services, Assets, CI, Software Models)
  • Experience defining, documenting, and implementing CMDB governance processes and procedures
  • 3 years’ experience with ServiceNow CMDB configuration
  • Effective communications and collaboration skills; ability to work with management and technical staffs of all levels and skill sets

Desired:
  • Strong organizational, analytic, and complex problem-solving skills
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ITIL Foundation certified
  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Highly effective speaking, listening, writing, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain CMDB architecture and technical design documentation
  • Design, implement, manage, and ensure the effectiveness of the integration of the CMDB with external sources of data. (i.e., SCCM, Flexera (FNMS), Discovery, etc.)
  • Develop, document, and implement CI data governance processes and procedures for effectively managing CI data
  • Develop and monitor CI data health reports /dashboards and resolve any issues
  • Ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and that target metrics are established and met, resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Work with stakeholders and CI data owners to ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained, and all CIs are up-to-date
  • Proactively identify CI classes, attributes, and relationship types that are required
  • Proactively identify and resolve CI data, metric, process, or functionality gaps in the CMDB
  • Ensure the CIs are created or updated using only approved processes and procedures
  • Develop, document, and implement CI data audits and address any issues that arise
  • Create and manage enhancement stories from request to deployment
  • Validate CMDB functionality as part of ServiceNow platform upgrades and deployments
  • Provide guidance and training in support of the maintenance and growth of the CMDB
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrade testing and validation
