The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • 4year university degree required, preferably in the field of Computer Science, or commensurate experience
  • 7+ years of technical leadership and/or architecture experience. Prior experience in defining architectures that satisfy security, scalability, disaster recovery, high availability, and network management/monitoring requirements
  • Designing enterprise architecture with modern, enabling technologies and processes (e.g., cloud computing, virtualization, APIs, REST services and standards based authentication and authorization protocols)
  • Knowledge of relevant security, regulatory and compliance matters as they relate to system design (PCI-DSS, SOX, OAUTH, SAML, ADFS, and SSO)
  • Skills in a broad set of development technologies as well as scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
  • Broad understanding of a spectrum of cybersecurity technologies including network/internet/endpoint security, security operations (i.e., SOC) systems, data security, identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), zero-trust network access (ZTNA), SIEM, penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, network security and next generation firewalls
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Core Switching/Routing, SSL/IPSec, SAN, Virtualization, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting on hardware on-prem such as servers (virtual and physical), SAN, NAS, firewalls, wireless access points and switches.
  • Strong grasp of IT service management including incident, change, and problem management
  • Proficiency with MS Exchange/O365, Microsoft Excel and Visio for documenting documentation purposes

Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide input to the annual and multi-year strategic plan for infrastructure, security, and application hosting
  • Ensure strategic fit of technology solutions with overall enterprise architecture and technology standards and goals
  • Review current system security measures and recommend and implement enhancements
  • Define and maintain architectural, security, and technical standards and procedures reflecting evolving technology and emerging best practice
  • Respond promptly to all security alerts and/or incidents and provide thorough post-event analysis and remediation
  • Migrate traditional hosting deployments into Service Architecture / cloud hosting
  • Provide expertise and support during system upgrades, installations, and conversions
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent activities
  • Establish enterprise disaster recovery procedures from implementation to testing
  • Implement and maintain a security awareness program for IT and end-users
