Corporate Event Planning ManagerThe Event Manager for the enterprise events team is responsible for designing, planning and executing events for our most important audiences. This individual will focus on overseeing client-facing programs in support of various business unit goals. This position provides a unique opportunity to build end-to-end experiential marketing programs that fortify and strengthen relationships with external customers. As a member of the events team, this individual will take on additional support for events and strategic projects and in support of our goal to drive operational excellence and scale programs. The role will work across the organization and interface with senior leaders within marketing and across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities and DutiesDeliver high-quality programs and ensure that events become a best-in-class function and competitive advantage for TIAA.

Manage all event elements to ensure optimal client experience. Functions include: - Source venues and event locations. - Negotiate and contract with venues and vendors. - Rooms, food & beverage, audio-visual and meeting set management. - Create, maintain and distribute event marketing including save-the-dates, websites, invitations and other event- related communications. - Oversee event partners, vendors and contract worker(s). - Deliver events on time and within budget. - Maintain detailed records and ensure all program data and budgets are accurate and up-to-date.

Serve as team subject matter expert for a wide range of client facing events and programs.

Collaborate with marketing and business colleagues to create and deliver integrated marketing plans surrounding events and sponsorship activations, including thought leadership, communications, public relations, social media, etc.

Build and maintain relationships with key business and event partners.

Ensure all programs are driven by business goals and deliver ROI. Consistently measure and report on results.

Communicate openly with stakeholders on programs, plans and results. Continuously seeks opportunities to increase transparency for the team’s work.

Proactively identify major issues or reputational risks to Director and recommends appropriate action.

Proactively recommend process improvements, including use of self-service tools, checklists and materials for smaller scale events in order to drive efficiencies and focus on higher value work.

Career Level8ICRequired QualificationsFive plus years of experience in event management including large-scale programs

Five plus years of experience comfortably working in high-volume group managing multiple programs at a time

Five plus years of strong business acumen and to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Five plus years being highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Five plus years of executive presence experience

Five plus years of excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required)

Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree, preferably in Event Management, Communications or Marketing disciplines

Financial services industry experience preferred

Deep knowledge of Cvent functionality and features

Ability to bring the brand to life with key audiences and drive results

Ability to think strategically, while still focusing on the details necessary to plan and execute successful events and programs

Creative problem-solver and team collaborator

CMP designation ideal

Business travel is required 30% of time pending our return to the office in January 2022Potential Salary: $119,000.00 USDActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
