New York State Registered Prof. Nurse License (RN) or (LPN)

Ability to adjust to building procedures and record-keeping responsibilities

Duties: Assist building school nurses with the following:

Assists the school physician in physicals, visual/auditory screenings,

and examinations of students

Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees

Arranges to transport sick or injured students or staff to the hospital, home, doctor's office or dentist's office in cases of emergency

Orders inventories and oversees the storage of first aid and related health supplies and equipment

Reviews with school physician a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable diseases.

Prepares and maintains health records and reports as required

Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff

Demonstrates strong organizational skills within a service-oriented health office

Proven ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and parents

Additional duties will be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services
