- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with a range of security tools is required, including intrusion detection/intrusion prevention systems, network-based anomaly detection, antivirantimalware software, network-based web filtering, and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with SIEM administration, including setup of alerts, runbooks, and other automation
- Familiarity with security frameworks and knowledge bases such as CIS Critical Security Controls and MITRE ATT&CK
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, cloud, and virtualization security
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of network technologies including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of OSPF and BGP
- Knowledge of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) regulations
- CISSP and Security+ certifications
- Able to work in a complex, dynamic team environment with minimal supervision and possess good organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills are needed to work well with a talented team of infrastructure support personnel and application developers
- Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company and with various business contacts outside of the company in an articulate, professional manner
- Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple assignments daily
- Review, analyze, and respond to threats and anomalies detected by various security technologies including intrusion detection, web filtering, network-based anomaly detection, and anti R viranti-malware, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners
- Work with System Administrators and Software Developers to fix detected vulnerabilities on servers, PCs, network devices, and applications
- Assist with CIP compliance tasks
- Follow incident response plans to limit the scope of and quickly recover from cyber-attacks
- Evaluate and implement new security technologies
- Assist with internal and 3rd-party audits, security assessments, and penetration tests
- Plan, implement, and upgrade security measures and controls
- Assist with security awareness training and testing
- Assist with goals setting and overall security strategy direction
