From the Ability Network, our Asian American & Pacific Islander Resource Group, the Latino Resource Group, and Red Cross PRIDE, to the Umoja African American Resource Group, our Veterans+ Resource Group, and the Women's Resource Group, these networks provide connections, mentoring and help give voice to important concerns and opinions.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: As the Subject Matter Expert for Process excellence in Laboratory services, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of regulatory and operational processes and documents within Lab Services (IRL, HLA, NML, NRLST, NNL) In this role, you will responsible for complex process development, review, approval and implementations for the areas encompassing laboratory services, including but not limited to, the Immunohematology Reference Lab, Histocompatibility, National Molecular Laboratory. You will ensure that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet goals and objectives of the business unit, and monitor operational execution post implementation, including testing and validation processes. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development/review/approval of regulatory operational process documents.

Researches/discusses/Manages complex process implementations and resolves issues with the

appropriate unit, SME and/or system owner, including but not limited to:, external vendor partners, QC, supply chain execution

Monitor/Review/Manage supplies, equipment and reagents, be primary liaison from field department to Supply Chain.

Implement and monitor/manage/submit for approval equipment life span plan with Laboratory Services locations.

Prepare /research /approve equipment requirements and specifications documents, review RFI and RPF information or recommendations to purchase equipment, supplies and reagents.

Prepare /research /approve validation plans for new processes, assays, equipment and supplies.

Perform review /editing/ revision activities to ensure compliance with system documents, new regulations, manufacturer's directions changes, recalls and suspensions.

Perform activities required to report/investigate/process for approval for Supplies, Equipment, Process, Deficiencies.

Responsible for the development/editing/ process for approval of regulatory operational process documents.

Responsible to review all Red Cross Document releases and perform annual review for national Laboratory Services documents to ensure compliance

Responsible to manage complex process implementations and resolves issues with the appropriate unit, SME and/or system owner.

Responsible for system communications plans and committee charters for critical cross-functional systems.

Responsible for activities related to the implementation of systems, policies and/or procedures

REMOTE, Work from home position Pay Information : The salary range for this position is $93,000-$115kNote that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelor's degree in Science required, with MT/MLS.

Minimum 7 years of related experience, preferably in a Red Cross IRL. HLA and/or NML knowledge/interest a plus.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities; effectively analyze problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications preferred.

May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout Red Cross system
